In order to establish midwifery practices or clinics, we are in need of experienced midwives willing to relocate overseas for extended periods of time and to diligently work on the project. If you are interested in participating in this area, please contact us for more information.
With Woman Clinical Opportunities
With Woman is currently working with the Perinatal Institute of Uruguay in Uruguay, and helping to fund a birth center there. The center will be
run by a local midwife in Montevideo and will accept students for clinical experience.
We are also in the process of developing a plan for at least one birth center to operate in Guatemala. The center will serve the women of the area who now birth at the hospital in less-than-optimal conditions. In addition, we hope to establish a working relationship with the traditional midwives, many of whom have been ostracized and have discontinued practice.

Other Clinical Opportunities
These clinics are not With Woman clinics: With Woman is providing information only for these clinics; we cannot be responsible for any actions or shortcomings of clinical experiences.
For clinical opportunities in Senegal, go to www.africanbirthcollective.org.
For clinical opportunities in Uganda, the Sally Clinic will accept students for clinical opportunities at various intervals during the year. Please contact Carrie or check the website.
For clinical opportunities in Guatemala, Hannah Friewald operates a maternity clinic in Ciudad Vieja, Guatemala. Student midwives are accepted; a minimum stay of 2 months is preferred, but contact Hannah for specific information. Spanish classes are available.
